Advocacy Group Endorses Daniel Murphy
As the Candidate Who Will Reduce Legal Barriers to Job Growth
Boston, MA…Today Mike Hruby, President of New Jobs for Massachusetts, Inc. (New Jobs), a public policy advocate for rapid growth in private sector employment in Massachusetts, announced that the group was endorsing Mr. Daniel Murphy of Easton for election to the State Legislature in the 11th Plymouth District.
“Massachusetts needs more than a million new jobs,” said Hruby. “The legislature is key to reducing the legal barriers to job growth. We have every reason to believe that Dan Murphy will fight to reduce the barriers to job growth in Massachusetts. As a tax accountant and active member of local government, he is the Pro-Jobs Candidate in the 11th District,” said Hruby.
New Jobs conducts surveys of candidates and their opponents in selected districts. Comparing candidates’ responses race by race, these surveys show which candidate’s have the best understanding of how regulations, high taxes, the threat of harsh penalties, and uncertainty of state policies suppress job growth. Most important, Pro-Jobs Candidates support policies that will accelerate job growth across the entire Commonwealth.

Murphy is a tax accountant and a two-term Selectman in Easton; he knows that employers and entrepreneurs face an unpredictable and adverse mind-set in state government. New Jobs has been sounding the alarm that state-erected barriers to job growth have created a persistent jobs crisis lasting 22 years. According to figures New Jobs compiled from state and federal statistics, the Commonwealth needs more than a million new jobs in order to satisfy the widespread need for employment by the unemployed, the underemployed, new graduates, and retired persons who want to supplement their incomes. The need for jobs includes part-time, full-time, and project-based work.

He wrote an award-winning book on corporate growth strategy titled Technoleverage. He has a Master's degree in Resource Economics from the University of New Hampshire and a Bachelor's degree in History from the University of Rochester.
